The 2023 Youth Harmony Explosion is designed to bring together high school and junior college young men and women from schools in Tulare, Kings and Fresno counties for a day of exposure to the unique American barbershop quartet harmony music style. They will be taught/coached by BLANK an award winning quartet and BLANK. The Visalia Mighty Oak Chorus hosts the event to educate the younger generation about the style with a dynamic hands-on experience. We collaborate with all the high school music programs in Tulare, Kings and Fresno Counties at no expense to the young people or the schools. The YHE program has succeeded in many other areas both urban and rural across the USA and provides an excellent opportunity for students to see first-hand how to incorporate the music style into their lives. The Visalia Mighty Oak Chorus feels music and the arts are vital to our society. We therefore attempt to fill a gap of music/arts in our public school system as their programs get reduced or cut due to budget problems. This is a fun way to maintain and promote a rich variety in our community culture. We trust you will want to join us with your support.
